MALE BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY FOR GYNECOMASTIA
Gynecomastia is an excess accumulation of fat or glandular tissue in the male breast.
In many cases, liposuction can be used to correct the problem areas if the tissue being removed is primarily fat. If the primary source of the breast enlargement is glandular tissue, it will be excised through a small incision. Larger incisions may be required if a significant amount of tissue and skin will be removed.
Initial swelling dissipates in 2 to 4 weeks. Continued fading of incision lines is for one year. Final results appear in 2 to 4 months. Significant weight gain can reverse results.
